Treatment philosophy
- Holistic

- Human-centered
My orthopaedic treatment focuses on restoring function, mobility, and freedom from pain. The principle is: conservative before operative, individual before standardized. Through a holistic, evidence-based, and interdisciplinary approach, I promote sustainable healing and long-term quality of life.

Treatment Process
From scheduling your appointment to aftercare
– with me, you always know exactly what to expect.
Appointment Scheduling
Your treatment in my private practice begins with a straightforward appointment booking via Doctolib. My goal is to offer you an appointment as quickly as possible. A modern, well-organised scheduling system ensures that unnecessary waiting times on site are avoided.
Medical History & Initial Consultation
You describe your symptoms, limitations and previous medical history. I then gain a comprehensive understanding of your condition through targeted questions and a thorough physical examination. Sometimes it can be helpful, for example, to assess your posture while playing your instrument or to take a look at your running shoes.
Diagnostics
To clarify your symptoms, I carry out detailed diagnostics in my practice, for example with a modern, low-radiation ultrasound device. If additional examinations are required, I work closely with radiology practices and specialists from other disciplines to ensure you receive holistic and optimal medical care.
Individual Treatment Plan
Based on the examination results, I develop a personalised therapy plan together with you. Conservative methods are prioritised – such as manual medicine/chiropractic therapy, shockwave therapy or acupuncture. The focus is on sustainable pain reduction, restoring mobility and preventing recurring symptoms.
Aftercare & Prevention
After the acute treatment phase, I continue to support you with recommendations for exercises, posture, training and regular follow-ups. The aim is to maintain the results achieved in the long term and prevent relapses.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which conditions do I treat?
I treat acute and chronic conditions of the entire musculoskeletal system. These include back, knee, shoulder, hip and neck pain, osteoarthritis, tendon irritation, joint blockages, and postural issues. You can also have injuries from everyday activities, sports or work examined and treated in my orthopaedic private practice in Berlin.
How quickly can you get an appointment with me?
As a private orthopaedic practice, I can usually offer appointments at short notice — often within a few days. This ensures that your complaints can be assessed without long waiting times. Especially in cases of acute pain or recent injuries, rapid diagnostics and treatment are essential.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral to make an appointment. You can contact me directly if you have orthopaedic complaints or would like a second opinion. This applies to privately insured patients as well as self-paying patients with statutory insurance.
Do I also treat patients with statutory insurance?
Yes, you can also receive treatment in my private practice if you have statutory insurance. In this case, billing is done on a self-pay basis according to the German medical fee schedule (GOÄ). Before beginning treatment, I discuss all expected costs with you transparently.
Which diagnostic procedures do I offer on site?
I offer modern diagnostic methods in my practice, including high-resolution ultrasound (sonography) for evaluating tendons, muscles and joints. This allows me to clarify many issues directly during your appointment.
What happens during the first examination?
I begin with a detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical history and goals. This is followed by a thorough physical examination, supplemented when needed by ultrasound diagnostics. If necessary, I refer you for radiological imaging such as MRI.
How long does an appointment take?
The initial examination usually lasts around 30–45 minutes, while follow-up appointments take about 20–30 minutes. The longer appointment times allow me to examine you without time pressure, answer your questions in depth and discuss all treatment steps calmly and thoroughly.
Can I continue exercising if I am in pain?
Pain is a warning signal from the body and should be assessed by a specialist to prevent further injury.
Which treatment methods do I offer?
I use a range of conservative orthopaedic methods: manual medicine/chiropractic therapy, acupuncture, trigger point therapy, shockwave therapy, hyaluronic acid therapy, sports orthopaedics, kinesio taping and custom insoles. I also use ultrasound for follow-up and treatment planning.
How are the treatment costs billed?
As a private practice, I bill according to the German medical fee schedule (GOÄ).
Do I also treat acute injuries?
Yes — for acute issues such as joint blockages, sprains, bruises, tendon or muscle injuries, and minor wounds, you can contact me at short notice.
Do I offer acupuncture or trigger point therapy?
Yes, I use classical acupuncture and trigger point therapy to treat pain, tension and functional disorders. These methods can be especially helpful for back, neck and joint pain and complement manual therapy well.
What sets my private practice apart from a regular orthopaedic clinic?
In my private practice, you benefit from short waiting times, a consistent point of contact and ample time for examination and consultation. Every treatment is provided personally by me, without changing staff, and tailored to your needs and goals.
Can I book my appointment online?
Yes, you can book your appointment online and choose a suitable time in peace. This allows flexible planning without having to rely on telephone hours and gives you immediate confirmation.
How do I get to the practice?
The practice is located in Berlin Treptow-Köpenick and is easily accessible by car and public transport (S-Bahn Baumschulenweg). Parking is available in the surrounding area.
Can I bring my instrument to the appointment?
If it is transportable, it can be very helpful to bring your instrument to the first appointment in order to assess posture-related issues more accurately.
This is a practice for privately insured patients and self-paying patients
This practice is a private orthopaedic practice, which means billing is carried out exclusively through private health insurance (PKV), government aid schemes (Beihilfe), or as self-pay. Direct billing with statutory health insurance (GKV) is unfortunately not possible.
Why is that?
As a private practice, I work independently of the statutory insurance system. This allows me to dedicate more time to your individual care, offer modern diagnostics and treatment methods, and provide flexible appointment scheduling without long waiting times.
The billing of my services is based on the German Medical Fee Schedule (GOÄ), which is binding for private physicians.
Billing for self-paying patients
Patients with statutory insurance are also very welcome. In this case, you will receive a private invoice according to the GOÄ, which you pay yourself. Many statutory patients consciously choose this option to receive specialised orthopaedic assessment and treatment without delay.
Cost Overview
The costs depend on the type and extent of the examination and treatment. As a general guideline:-
Initial consultation including examination and medical assessment: approx. €160
-
Follow-up appointment (short control examination): approx. €40–80
-
Additional services (e.g. ultrasound, injections, shockwave therapy) are charged separately depending on the extent of treatment.
I am happy to inform you in advance about the expected costs of your treatment.
